ABOUT.

Who We Are

14forty Scouting was built on a simple belief — every minute counts. With 1,440 minutes in a day, we dedicate ours to evaluating high school basketball talent. Our mission is to provide college coaches with clear, unbiased player evaluations they can trust.

What We Do

  • Player Evaluations – In-gym, courtside evaluations that capture performance, skill development, and potential.
  • Comprehensive Database – Every evaluation is entered into our system, giving coaches an organized, searchable platform of player reports.
  • Monthly Reports – Subscriptions that deliver detailed evaluations directly to college coaches, complete with notes, measurables, and film when available.

Our Network

The power of 14forty comes from our nationwide network of dedicated scouts. From local high school gyms to major tournaments, our team is on the ground documenting real performance. Each scout follows our evaluation standards, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and fairness in every report.

Founder / Head of Scouting: Terry Drake

Terry Drake has spent decades in basketball — as a coach, trainer, and evaluator. With a reputation for identifying talent early and a deep understanding of the game, Terry founded 14forty Scouting to bring structure and reliability to the evaluation process. Under his leadership, our scouts work with one purpose: to provide coaches with the information they need to make informed decisions.

Business Development / Scout: Jeff Master

Jeff Master brings over a decade of high school basketball coaching experience to 14forty Scouting. As the founder of JM Sports and a certified Athlete Agent in Florida, Jeff has dedicated his career to supporting athletes and helping them navigate opportunities beyond the court. In his role at 14forty Scouting, he focuses on building strong relationships with college coaches while expanding a nationwide network of scouts. His goal is to ensure that every evaluation produced by 14forty is accurate, trusted, and delivered to the programs that need it most.
